The pilgrimage journey in India that covers the four most revered Hindu destinations of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath is known as the Char Dham Yatra. According to traditional Hindu belief, a pilgrimage journey to these four destinations in India, is considered to be of great spiritual significance.
The holy River Ganga, rises from the glacier at Gangotri, the River Yamuna from Yamunotri and the Mandakini and Alaknanda flow past Kedarnath and Badrinath respectively.
